DANBURY — The Danbury Concert Association will kick off its 2026-2027 season this weekend, welcoming pianist Ying Li to the stage.

The event will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20th at the Visual & Performing Arts Center at Western Connecticut State University. The Danbury Concert Association says it “promises an afternoon of dazzling technique, expressive depth, and a captivating program featuring celebrated masterworks of piano repertoire.”

Ying Li began studying piano at age five, and completed her education at the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School. Performing with orchestras and at chamber music festivals worldwide, she has been praised for “her ‘nerves of steel,’ technical brilliance, and profound sensitivity.” Audiences will have an opportunity to meet with Li after the concert.

Tickets are $33.85 and can be purchased online at wcsuvpac.eventbrite.com or by calling the VPAC box office at 203-837-8732. Admission is free for ages 18 and under, courtesy of the Danbury Cultural Commission, and season subscriptions for all four concerts can also be purchased for $89.
