WESTPORT–The music of Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter and other pop icons, performed by powerhouse vocalists backed by a live band, will come to the Westport Country Playhouse on Aug. 28, at 7 p.m.

Call it summer’s last hurrah, or a show to get you in the mood for school. Either way, “Cruel Summer: The Playhouse Playlist,” is a concert to celebrate the end of school vacation.

Drew Wutke, a multi-disciplinary artist and musical director with a private coaching studio in New York City, created the event and serves as producer and music director, the Playhouse said. Previously at Westport Country Playhouse, he served as music director for “From Broadway to Hollywood,” “A Night for Swifties,” and “Me, Myself & Barbra.”
