WESTPORT–Bonnie Raitt, the 13-time-Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and guitarist, will be the star of the annual gala benefit concert of the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts in Westport on Aug. 9.
Bonnie Raitt tickets will go on-sale to the public Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m. ET here.
“We are thrilled and honored to present the incomparable Bonnie Raitt as the star of our annual Gala, the proceeds from which help underwrite our free programming and outreach,” said Freda Welsh, CEO and president of the Levitt Pavilion.
With her blend of blues, R&B, rock and pop, Raitt is an example of a popular artist who took many years to become an overnight success.
“After 20 years as a cult favorite, she broke through to the top in the early 90s with her Grammy Award-winning albums, Nick of Time and Luck of the Draw, which featured hits, ‘Something to Talk About’ and ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ among others,” the Levitt Pavilion wrote in an announcement of the benefit concert.
Starting in 1983, she has been nominated for 31 Grammys. In addition to her 13 wins, she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and received the Kennedy Center Honor in 2024, among other accolades.
On the day of the gala, the pavilion perimeter opens at 5 p.m. with bars and food trucks. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
The proceeds from the concert help support the independent not-for-profit organization and its signature free programming. For the 2026 season the Levitt Pavilion is offering more than 50 free shows including Son Little, Luke Tyler Shelton, Seth Sikes, Chris Pierce, Chaparelle, Joy Clark, King Stingray, Surfing for Daisy, Amelia Day, Jessie Altman, Residual Groove, The String Queens and more.
They also include a children’s series and comedy nights.
The season’s paid ticket shows include Greensky Bluegrass, The Disco Biscuits, Lucius, Dark Star Orchestra, G. Love, Donavon Frankenreiter and Moon Taxi, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Matteo Bocelli, Eggy, and more.
