WESTPORT — “Music of Midwinter,” a seasonal showcase performed by the folk ensemble Windborne, will be hosted Dec. 16 at Voices Café.

The concert, featuring traditional and folk songs of the season, will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Voices Café at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road.

General admission $25 tickets for adults and $15 tickets for those under 21 years old can be reserved in advance online by clicking here.

Windborne’s lush vocals and creative arrangements draw from traditional, classic and folk from the U.S., the British Isles and beyond,” according to a publicity release. “The singers educate as they entertain, sharing stories about their songs and explaining the context and characteristics of the styles in which they sing.”

A portion of the event proceeds will benefit Helping Hands Outreach, a nonprofit providing a range of services and support to individuals in need in the greater Bridgeport area.

Concert attendees also are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy or retailer gift card to contribute to the Helping Hands Outreach holiday drive.
