WESTPORT — Complementing an exhibition featuring dozens of works by women artists, MoCA\CT will host a community conversation on how their work expresses feminist resistance.
“The Language of Feminist Resistance,” an informal gallery talk, will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8th. The event is associated with the exhibition Enough Already: Women Artists from the Sara M. and Michelle Vance Waddell Collection, which runs through Feb. 15th.
The discussion will be led by Luciana McClure Lewis, a visiting instructor of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at the University of Connecticut. Attendees will learn more about the themes in the featured artwork and how the artists challenged dominant narratives and expectations.
General admission is $10, while admission for students and seniors is $8; MoCA\CT members can attend for free. For more information, click here.
