WESTPORT — Singer Aoife O’Donovan and the band Hiss Golden Messenger will be featured in an August “Stars-on-Tour” concert at the Levitt Pavilion.
The concert is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the pavilion. It will take place rain or shine.

Proceeds from ticket sales to the Stars-on-Tour concerts help underwrite the nonprofit Levitt’s season of free concerts and year-round operations.
O’Donovan, a Grammy award-winning songwriter and musician, has released three solo albums.
She is co-founder of the bands I’m With Her and Crooked Still; is featured vocalist on the Goat Rodeo Sessions with Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile. She also performed on the radio variety shows, “Live From Here” and “A Prairie Home Companion.”
M.C. Taylor and his band, Hiss Golden Messenger, perform a repertoire ranging from folk and country to rhythm-and-blues, gospel and bluegrass.
The band was formed in North Carolina 15 years ago, and has released more than a dozen albums.
