WESTPORT — The Japan Society of Fairfield County’s annual Fall Festival will return to Jesup Green a week from Saturday, Sept. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Those interested in taking part in a unique cultural experience are welcome to a free event that features performances by the New York Taiko Aiko Kai.

People are also encouraged to participate in demonstrations of traditional Japanese Bon Odori dance.

There will also be martial arts demonstrations, music, crafts, ceremonial garb and more.

Last year the event was sidelined due to COVID.

People are invited to come wearing a yukata or kimono, and adults and children can take part in demonstrations of calligraphy, origami folktale play and balloon art as well.

The Japan Society of Fairfield County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and preserving Japanese culture.
