NORWALK – Families can try their hand at transforming everyday items into creative holiday decorations or gifts at a special event hosted by the Norwalk Art Space tomorrow.

The Family Holiday Workshop begins at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16th. The event is free and no registration is required, although children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

With the theme “You Can Create Art from Anything,” the workshop will guide attendees through two projects: decorating pine cones as Christmas tree ornaments or creating snowman ornaments using black-painted coffee pod containers for hats and wooden discs for faces.

The event will also include a holiday singalong featuring students from the Norwalk Art Space’s holiday choir and ukulele class, as well as pizza and cookies.
