WESTPORT — Floral artwork, with a surprise, is featured during June in the monthly artist showcase at the Westport Book Shop.

Prints of flowers by Kerstin Rao, from her detailed drawings made with colored pencils, will be on display through June 30 at the book store, 23 Jesup Road.

The “surprise?” All of the prints have a QR code to scan enabling visitors to see each piece being created via a time-lapse video.

Rao’s work is inspired by bouquets she acquires at the Westport Farmers Market, which she later draws at home, according to a publicity release for the exhibit. The paper drawings then are digitally scanned and printed.

Rao’s business, Vivid Cottage, offers stationery and home goods based on her original artwork.
