NORWALK–Westport’s Melissa Newman is an artist and arts advocate.

On Thursday, Oct. 9, the Norwalk Art Space will honor Ms. Newman at its annual Arts Bash ‘25 celebration and fundraiser. 

The event will feature the Bruce Acosta Jazz Trio, catering by The Art Space Cafe and Marcia Selden Catering, and a live auction hosted by CK Swett.

One of the pieces up for auction is an original sculpture by Ms. Newman.  

Arts Bash ‘25 will also include a unique silent auction featuring over 60 pieces of original artwork created by regional fine artists

“Melissa Newman embodies the Goin’ All Out spirit of The Norwalk Art Space – where artists, educators, and community leaders give their all to build and grow a diverse and accessible art space for everyone in the surrounding community,” said Duvian Montoya, Executive Director of The Norwalk Art Space. “We are thrilled to recognize her extraordinary talents and unwavering support of young artists at Arts Bash ’25.”

The exhibition “The Weight of Memories” which features pieces by Ms. Newman, Paige Mostowy and Kimberly Klauss, will also be on view throughout the main gallery.
