WESTPORT — Looking just “fine” at 50 — that’s the Westport Fine Arts Festival, which this year marks a half-century of downtown arts celebrations May 27 and 28.

The event, sponsored by the Westport Downtown Association, will feature artists exhibiting a range of media — including painting, photography, sculpture, prints, glass, ceramics, jewelry and wood — along Main and Elm streets from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 28.

Food, live music and hands-on art projects and demonstrations also will be featured throughout the Memorial Day weekend fete.

Another feature on Elm Street will be “The Hive,” an art installation whose honeycomb passages and larger-than-life pollinator garden pay tribute to the festival’s golden anniversary.

A new stage will be set up over the festival’s two days for performances by dancers, musicians and other artists. To inquire about performing, contact To inquire about performing, contact Jill Dunn at events@westportdowntown.com.
