WESTPORT — Five new murals will be unveiled downtown Oct. 16, adding more diverse visions to the town’s public art collection.

The original paintings, placed along the Main Street entrance to Bedford Square, comprise the latest project by the Westport Arts Advisory Committee

The artworks will be formally unveiled at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16.

The public showcase will expand the perspectives in the town’s collection with work by artists of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.

The artists include: Eric Chiang, Hernan Garcia, Jana Ireijo, Iyaba Mandingo and Rebecca Ross.
