RIDGEFIELD — Audiences will have the opportunity to hear from featured artists in a groundbreaking exhibition at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in a special event set for this week.
The museum will hold a moderated conversation with four artists from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30th. Guests can attend the event in person or purchase a virtual ticket to attend via Zoom.
The conversation will feature Lula Mae Blocton, Anoka Faruqee, David Driscoll, and Kristy Hughes, and will be moderated by Karis Medina, Associate Curator at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. The points of discussion will include each artist’s work, ideas, and creative processes, and the factors that have influenced their work.
The event is presented in conjunction with The Aldrich Decennial: I am what is around me. The debut of a survey that will take place every 10 years, the exhibition features artists who live and work in Connecticut, have never had a solo museum show before, and have produced artwork within the past decade.
