RIDGEFIELD — The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum will be holding a special Community Day celebration this month, with events centered around its Aldrich Decennial exhibition.

Community Day will include free admission to the museum along with family programming and a special performing arts presentation. The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17th.

The event is being held in association with The Aldrich Decennial: I am what is around me. This exhibition, on view through Jan. 10th, 2027, marks the debut of a survey to take place every 10 years and feature the work of emerging artists who live and work in Connecticut.

At 2 p.m., a new performance by artist Anindita Dutta will explore the themes of duality and contrast. This will take place in the museum’s courtyard or inside its atrium, depending on the weather.
