FAIRFIELD — Audiences are invited to take a “musical journey through time” next week, with a program of piano music pairing classic pieces with an America250 celebration.

Musical Postcards: A Transatlantic Journey from Beethoven to Bernstein will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27th, at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University. The evening will feature works by both European and American composers, presented in chronological order alongside significant milestones in American history, to celebrate the influences on American music over time.

Classically trained pianist Joanna Chang will perform. Chang is an assistant professor of music in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts, within the John Charles Meditz College of Arts and Sciences at Fairfield University.
