WESTPORT — A program on the “B Corp” model for businesses focused on both making money and doing good will be hosted Sept. 24 by StartUp Westport.

The program, featuring a panel discussion by area leaders of impact-driven businesses, is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road. The event will begin with a networking reception; cocktails will be available.

Jen Gorin, founder of Impact Growth Partners, will host the program, and Phil White and Heidi Schoeneck of Grounded World, will lead the discussion. The three are leaders of Westport-based certified B Corps.
Panelists will include: Michael Hermus of Westport-based mental health startup Halespring; Felicia Rubenstein of HAYVN in Darien, and Adam Thatcher of Grace Farms Tea & Coffee in New Canaan.
They will “share insights on how B Corp certification can enhance employee retention, market positioning and fundraising efforts,” according to program organizers.
