Dear District 9 neighbor,

We are writing to remind you that our RTM representative, Nancy Kail, is on the ballot this November, and why it’s so important she be re-elected to another term. We’ve known Nancy for more than 25 years and she is a true local treasure. A Westport native, Nancy grew up in a family that understands the town’s roots, and she continues to enthusiastically participate in the town’s civic and political life.  

Westport faces some difficult choices regarding our infrastructure, schools and recreational assets. We need people like Nancy, who is extraordinarily smart, open-minded and hard-working.

Leaders that look at Westport’s challenges from multiple perspectives and listen to all constituencies early in the process are our best hope for maintaining this wonderful community. Nancy has the skills to communicate with stakeholders and defend her position in a clear, balanced and respectful way.  

Nancy is the only District 9 RTM member I know of who regularly communicates with residents via email to update us on current issues and events. In her spare time, Nancy builds educational foundations and programs that create opportunities for children and young adults from less fortunate circumstances. 

Nancy is one of those people who gets more done in a day than most of us accomplish in a month, yet she still has time for family and friends.

Nancy is a true leader and represents the best of what Westport is all about. We urge you to give her your vote on Nov. 7.
