WESTPORT–The Wreckers Field Hockey season started on a high note with a resounding 9-0 victory over Norwalk. Coach Ian Tapsall said he was proud of his team: “It was a nice opening win for the season, but we have a long season ahead of us.”

The game was a team effort. Defense was outstanding throughout. On offense, Captains Ekholdt, Harrington and Leon each scored a goal, as did Freshmen Ozgen and Larit.

Junior Izzy Nahon scored unassisted with a spectacular run that began deep in Wreckers territory.
