Hollywood shines brightest during Oscars-weekend festivities, and Westport residents Mark and Kim Shapiro were among those in this year’s spotlight.

They joined celebrities and film industry movers and shakers at Friday’s WME Oscar Party at the William Randolph Hearst mansion, known as “The Godfather” house, in Beverly Hills. 

The gathering took place in advance of Sunday night’s big event, the 95th Academy Awards ceremony.

Mark Shapiro is the president of Endeavor, a global sports and entertainment company. WME, an entertainment agency, is an Endeavor company.

Also attending the WME party were Larry David, Elton John, Baz Luhrmann, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Stephen A Smith, Maria Sharapova, Brett Goldstein, Simona Tabasco, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham, according to a publicity release.

The Shapiros are the parents of three sons, Jack and JT are graduates of Staples High School, and their youngest, Ryan, will attend the school this fall.
