WESTPORT — A modern twist on a “Highlands old time” is in store Feb. 18 when Scottish folk musicians, Talisk, kick off the 2023 “Music at MoCA” series.
The band’s concert will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the museum, 19 Newtown Turnpike. For additional information and to reserve tickets online, click here.
Talisk is “known for their fast-and-furious style and their fun audience interactions,” according to a museum publicity release.
The trio — Mohsen Amini, Graeme Armstrong and Benedict Morris — creates “a ground-breaking, multi-layered signature” sound using the concertina, guitar and fiddle, according to the group’s website.
Food and drinks will be available to purchase before the concert, and visitors also will be able view MoCA’s two current exhibits, “El Ritmo y La Unidad” and “Who Are You When You Are Dreaming?”
