WESTPORT — The town will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11 at Town Hall.

The ceremony will start at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the auditorium of Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave. — the traditional time commemorating the end of fighting in World War I at the the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918.

Preceding the ceremony, at 10:30 a.m. the Westport Community Band will perform a concert of patriotic music, according to the announcement by William Vornkahl, president of the Westport Veterans Council.

The public is invited to attend.
