WESTPORT — Art inspired by landscape in the Coleytown section of town will be the topic of a June 9 program hosted by the Westport Garden Club.
The program, “A Life in Art: The Boyer & Merrilees Families,” will explore the artwork of Ralph L. Boyer and his daughter Rebecca Boyer Merrilees, “who each captured the natural beauty of their Coleytown Easton Road property named ‘Tickle Tree,’ along the Aspetuck River from the 1920s to the 1960s,” according to the club.
The open program will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 9, in the community room of St. Luke Church, 49 Turkey Hill Road North.
Kathie Bennewitz, Westport’s town art curator, will lead the presentation.
