WESTPORT — Want to dispose of outdated documents, old bills or unwanted records with personal or financial information? Here’s a chance to shred them into oblivion while supporting a good cause.
On Saturday, May 11, a “Shred It for Cancer Research” fundraiser will be hosted by the William Raveis Real Estate office at 47 Riverside Ave.
The public is invited to drop off materials to be shredded from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parking lot behind the office. The event will take place rain or shine. People can remain on site to watch as their documents are shredded, according to event organizers.
Cost is $10 to shred a shopping bag or box of paperwork, and $20 for a large garbage bag, with all of the funds donated to support the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
