WESTON — The Staples boys tennis team began the regular season last Friday with a visit to non-conference rival, Weston, rolling to a 7-0 triumph. All matches were completed in the minimum two sets.

In singles play, Noah Wolff defeated Rohak Gulia 6-2, 6-0; Lucas Ceballos topped Lev Kung 6-1, 6-3; Mattie Guadarrama beat Joey Linker in a tight one 7-6, 7-5, and Clint Graham defeated Baxter Barienberg 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles play, Brett Lampert / Hayden Frey defeated Aiden Baker / Edward Ye 7-5, 6-2, Aleko Vergakis / Robert Jacob beat Bryce Ferguson / Oskar O’Connor 6-0, 6-0 and Shreyas Gorre / Kieran Anand beat Issac Schickler / Sachin Pather 6-1, 6-1.

The Wreckers will host Ridgefield at 5 p.m. Monday, and visit New Canaan the next day at 4 p.m. (Game schedules are subject to change; click for the latest updates.)
