WESTPORT–Staples beat the Darien Blue Wave yesterday 4-3 in the semi-final round of the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference boys tennis playoffs. The match began Friday afternoon, but rain delayed the completion of the round until yesterday.

Tighe Brunetti won his singles match.

In doubles, the teams of Robbie Daus/Luke Brodsky, Noah Wolff/Alex Guadarrama and Brett Lampert/Lucas Ceballos won their matches.

The Wreckers will meet Westhill in the FCIAC Championship final at 4:00 p.m. at Wilton High School.

#4 Westhill beat #1 Greenwich yesterday; Staples, ranked #3, beat Westhill 5-2 in their April 19 match at Westhill.
