WESTPORT — The League of Women Voters of Westport will host two debates next week for the Board of Selectmen candidates, as well as contenders for other major town boards in the Nov. 2 municipal election.

Both debates — Oct. 25 and 26 — start at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall auditorium.

However, there will be no live audience for either debate. They can be viewed on Channel 79 or via the town’s website here.

On Monday, Oct. 25, the lineup for the first LWV debate will include candidates running for first selectman, Board of Assessment Appeals and Board of Finance.

On Tuesday, Oct. 26, candidates running for selectman, Board of Education and the Planning and Zoning Commission will debate.

The league also has assembled its traditional voters’ guide with information about all of the candidates, including the Representative Town Meeting, on Westport’s 2021 election ballot. The link to the online guide can be found on the LWV website.
