WESTPORT — An 18-year-old, who threw a noisy party for a large, “unruly” crowd at his mother’s Drumlin Road home without permission Sunday night, is facing criminal charges, police said.

Gianni DeCaprio, of Fairfield, was charged Sunday with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach of peace.

Officers were dispatched about 10:30 p.m. Sunday to investigate a noise complaint at a Drumlin Road home, and discovered “a large group of juveniles and young adults leaving the home,” according to the report.

The partiers was “unruly and did not initially cooperate with the officers,” the report states, before officers were finally able to disperse the group.

DeCaprio told officers that he hosted the party in his mother’s home after learning that she was out of town.

When DiCaprio’s mother was contacted, she reportedly told officers that her son does not live at the house and has been “banned” from visiting there, police said.

DeCaprio subsequently admitted to officers that he was aware that he should not have been on the property, police said.

After DeCaprio was placed under arrest, he was released after posting $500 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Aug. 3 at state Superior Court in Stamford.
