Multiple outlets have reported that Tom Lowrie passed away yesterday, just a few days shy of his 98th birthday.

He will be remembered for many things, but his most lasting legacy may be Compo’s “Lowrie Courts,” named to recognize Lowrie’s tireless efforts to promote pickleball across the Town of Westport.

Lowrie was a graduate of Princeton University, class of 1950, and a member of Tiger Inn. He was a 20-year member of the Y’s Men and very active in the Westport Sunrise Rotary.
