Following is the obituary for RICHARD DePALMA submitted by the family.
. . .
Richard “Dicki” DePalma died on April 24, 2022, in Pittsfield, Mass. He was 76.
Born Feb. 22, 1946, Richard, “Dicki,” was the second of four children to Carl and Lucille DePalma of Westport.
Richard attended Westport public schools and graduated from Staples High School, where he was active in baseball and the choir. After high school graduation, Richard spent four years in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in and around Asia.
After the Navy he resided in Easton, and spent many years working for the Southern New England Telephone Co. After an early retirement, Richard moved to Florida. After realizing he wasn’t ready to be idle, he worked for Sprint Cable of Florida.
Missing the beauty, climate and hills of New England, Richard, headed back up north and built his dream home on 35 scenic acres in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.
Richard reveled in family, friends and neighbors, and was always there for others. He had a patient and memorable spirit, an infectious laugh and perpetual optimism. His generosity and energy will be remembered by all.
Richard was pre-deceased by his father Carl, mother Lucille and brothers William and Carl DePalma.
He is survived by his sister Patricia DePalma and her husband Hank Slesinski of Kennett Square, Pa.; nephews, Ted Slesinski of Sewickly, Pa., Scott Slesinski of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Jason DePalma of Humble, Texas; nieces, Alyse Slesinski of Wilmington, Del., Diane Vullo of Cavandish, Vt., and Debra DePalma of Boston, Mass., and numerous cousins and friends.
A memorial service with military honors will take place at Assumption Cemetery in Westport in June. Please donate when you can and as much as you can to the Dementia Society of America.

Dicki was a long time friend. Condolences to the family.
