
Eve Clifford of Westport died peacefully at home on April 29, 2026, at the age of 83.
She was born February 8, 1943, in Tallinn, Estonia, daughter and only child of the late Albert and Erika Kulli.
After emigrating in 1944 to Malmö, Sweden following the Soviet occupation of Estonia during World War II, she and her family later settled in Canada, where she grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario, near Toronto. She was a 1965 graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in nursing and became a clinical nursing instructor and visiting nurse.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Clifford. They married in 1966 and remained so for 23 years, raising two sons. After the death of her husband, Eve went on to become a beloved and highly accomplished sales specialist for Macy’s, Inc. in the Stamford Town Center in Stamford, CT for many years.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael S. Clifford and Christopher R. Clifford, of Westport.
Eve was a resilient and talented woman of many interests, a devoted and loving mother, and a kind and generous friend to all that knew her.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, May 4, at 11 am in Willowbrook Cemetery, Main Street, Westport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eve’s honor to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Ave, Norwalk, CT 06854.
