Esterina Rose D’Amico, 95, a lifelong resident of Westport passed away on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025 in Norwalk Hospital.
Esterina–known to all as Ester– was born on Jan. 8, 1930 at her family homestead in Westport, the daughter of Anthony and Maria (Caruso) D’Amico. She loved traveling the world and was an avid and accomplished skier. Ester dedicated more than 40 years of service as an Administrative Secretary for the former Perkin-Elmer Corporation in Norwalk. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner of Westport’s Assumption Church. She was also an exceptionally social person who never missed a family gathering or an opportunity to spend time with the many friends she cherished.
She is survived by two brothers: Anthony J. D’Amico and Peter J. D’Amico; her sister Geraldine Stauss; 17 nieces and nephews; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents, Esterina was predeceased by three brothers: Edward D’Amico, Rudolph M. D’Amico and Anthony D’Amico (Peter’s twin) and four sisters: Adeline Coviello, Margaret Incerto, Mary Aldrich and Josephine D’Amico.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday Nov. 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave. Westport. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 73 Greens Farms Road Westport. The family will receive visitors at Harding Funeral Home 210 Post Road East, Westport from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
