WESTPORT — Eat up! “Westport Restaurant Week” is back.
And the culinary promotion is twice as nice, because the “week” is really two weeks, from Sunday, Oct. 17, through Sunday, Oct. 31.
Fifteen local restaurants, comprising a diverse range of cuisines and pricing, are participating in the event organized by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce.
They are serving special prix fixe menus throughout the two-week promotion.
Each of the restaurants has set its own fixed price for meals offered during the promotion, ranging from $20-plus for lunch and $25-plus for dinner. Brunch for $25 and up is also being offered by some of the restaurants.
Participating restaurants and their menus include: 190 Main, Allium Eatery, Boathouse Capuli, Harvest, La Plage and Pane E Bene.
Also, Rive Bistro, Rizzutos, Romanacci, Spotted Horse Taven, Tarantino, Gray Goose, Tutti’s Ristorante and Via Sforza.
“It’s been a rough time for our restaurants during the pandemic, and supply and staffing issues remain, but this event is always embraced,” Matthew Mandell, the executive director of the chamber, said in a statement announcing the promotion.
“We want people to eat local, and with flexible pricing, it will allow both the moderate family style and high-end establishments to find their price point and patrons eager to try their bistro.”
