WESTPORT — Town officials plan an April 25 meeting to update the public on various traffic and safety initiatives, including feedback gathered via an online survey that’s part of a federally funded “Safe Streets and Roads for All” project.
The meeting, hosted by the town’s Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Task Force, will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Town Hall auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave.
Representatives of Tighe & Bond, the consulting engineer hired for the “SS4A” project, will be on hand to discuss their work to date, which is being funded by a $450,000 federal grant awarded last year.
They also will present findings from an online survey launched in February to gather public comments and suggestions about a range of local traffic concerns and related issues such as pedestrian and bicycling safety.
Town officials with responsibilities for traffic and engineering management, safety oversight and authority, and planning solutions also will attend the meeting.
The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide additional feedback, according to the meeting announcement.
