The EMT course, starting Feb. 11, covers life-saving skills that range from basic bandaging to trauma care. The hands-on training by veteran instructors prepares students to respond to diverse emergency situations. For more information about the course and to sign up, click here.

WVEMS also has scheduled three orientation sessions for already-certified EMTs interested in joining the service. For details, click here.

And in March, an emergency medical responder course will be offered, introducing high school students 14 and 15 years old to teamwork and life-saving skills. It serves as a foundation to future EMT certification, allowing class participants to join WVEMS ambulance crews on their shifts.
