WESTPORT — A “Winter Family Fest,” featuring seasonally themed crafts, music and games, will be sponsored Dec. 11 by the Westport Book Shop.

The event is planned from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 11, on Jesup Green, across from the store at 23 Jesup Road. The event will take place rain or shine.

In addition to activities such as making snowflake-inspired crafts, there will be hot chocolate and cookies provided by The Porch @ Christies.

Winter stories will be read inside the shop every 15 minutes.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, according to event organizers. Those planning to attend should RSVP by calling the store at 203-349-5141, or emailing bookshop@westportbooksaleventures.org.

Westport Book Shop is a nonprofit that sells used books, antiquarian volumes, vintage vinyl records, CDs, DVDs and audio books. It also strives to provide employment for adults with disabilities.
