
WESTPORT — A new series of “Anyone Can Use …” classes, kicking off in February, will provide insight on ways to untangle the sometimes daunting use of tech tools.
There is no charge for any of the classes, but registration is required.
Following is the slate of “Anyone Can Use …” classes, with links to more details and online registration:
Google Drive — Wednesday, Feb. 7, 11 a.m.-noon: The class will focus on steps to create and operate a Google Drive account, covering features such as docs, sheets, slides and more.
Pronunciator — Wednesday, Feb. 21, 11 a.m.-noon: Participants will learn how to use Pronunciator, a comprehensive online language learning service that encompasses more than 160 languages.
JSTOR — Wednesday, March 6, 11 a.m.-noon: JSTOR is a digital library of academic content in many formats and disciplines. Resources include peer-reviewed scholarly journals, literary journals, research reports and more.
Nexis Uni — Wednesday, April 3, 11 a.m.-noon: Nexis Uni is a research tool, with a database of more than 15,000 sources, for things like company dossiers, international news and legal regulations.
Social Media for Marketing — Wednesday, April 17, 11 a.m.-noon: Learn how to use social-media platforms for digital storytelling and e-commerce, with tools like Canva, CapCut and ChatGPT.
Download Books, Movies and More — Wednesday, May 1, 11 a.m.-noon: Learn how to use a Westport Library card to download digital apps to access the library’s inventory of e-books, audiobooks, movies, television shows and music.
