WESTPORT — A rabbi who has written a book about combating antisemitism will speak at a Nov. 30 program sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater Fairfield County.

Rabbi Diana Fersko, author of “We Need to Talk About Antisemitism,” will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at TCS, 30 Hillspoint Road.

She will be joined in discussing the topic by Rabbi Jeremy Wiederhorn of TCS and Rabbi Evan Schultz of Congregation B’nai Israel in Bridgeport. To register to attend the program, click here.

The program, co-sponsored by TCS, Temple Israel and Congregation B’nai Israel, will focus on “how to address the alarming rise in antisemitism,” according to event organizers.

The Connecticut chapter of the Anti-Defamation League reported that antisemitic incidents surged to historic levels in 2022, with a 100 percent increase in the state.

Fersko, the senior rabbi at the Village Temple in Manhattan, is a former national vice president of the Women’s Rabbinic Network and a member of the New York Board of Rabbis. She has been profiled in the New Yorker and her work has been published by HuffPost.
