WESTPORT — The town’s “We Do Walkways” program is compiling a list of local middle and high school students interested in working for older adults who need help with outdoor chores this fall and winter.

The program, organized by the town’s Department of Human Services, matches students with senior citizens seeking workers for local jobs like yard cleanups during fall and snow shoveling in winter.

Jobs are expected to pay about $15 an hour, and are limited to outdoor tasks.

Students must complete an enrollment form and receive parental permission to participate. Call 203-341-1050 with questions.

Senior citizens interested in hiring a teen worker should contact the DHS office by calling 203-341-1050 or emailing humansrv@westportct.gov.
