
WESTPORT — Tickets are still available for this year’s “Booked for the Evening” event at the Westport Library, featuring television producer, screenwriter and author Shonda Rhimes.
The fundraising event, in its 23rd year, will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, in the library.

Rhimes is the CEO of the global media company, Shondaland. Over the course of her career, Rhimes and her work have been the recipient of numerous awards, including induction into the Television Academy Hall of Fame.
Rhimes and her production company are known for some of television’s biggest hit shows, from “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal” to “Bridgerton” and “Inventing Anna.”
“Booked for the Evening” is the Westport Library’s largest annual fundraising event.
Honorees in past years have included: Martin Scorsese, Lynsey Addario, Nile Rodgers, E.L. Doctorow, Itzhak Perlman, Alan Alda, Tom Brokaw and David Halberstam.
