WESTPORT — The bounty from a Thanksgiving food drive, organized by the Westport Police Department and TEAM Westport, was recently presented to officials representing the benefiting agencies.

The Nov. 13 food drive at the local Stop & Shop supermarket collected more than 400 bags of non-perishable foods and $1,752.20 in monetary donations, according to organizers.

Donations will provide support for Homes with Hope’s Gillespie Center food pantry and the town’s Department of Human Services, which both provide assistance to people dealing with food insecurity.
