WESTPORT — Get rid of grime clinging to your car after summer adventures. Instead, make it gleam under balmy autumn skies — with a little help Oct. 9 from the Staples High School girls soccer team.

The team will host a fundraising car wash from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Christ and Holy Trinity Church, corner of Myrtle Avenue and Church Lane.

Players from the Staples freshman, junior varsity and varsity girls soccer squads will wash and dry vehicles to a high standard.

Suggested donation is $10 to $20 per vehicle, according to event organizers.

Proceeds will benefit the girls soccer program at Staples.
