

WESTPORT — Dancing & romancing and slashing & shrieking are the very different themes of movies showcased in the coming week at the Remarkable Drive-In.
“Dirty Dancing” lights up the big screen Monday and “Scream” will be shown Wednesday.
Ticket proceeds benefit the Remarkable Theater’s goal of opening a nonprofit movie theater in downtown Westport that will employ people with disabilities.
The drive-in screen is located in the parking lot at 50 Imperial Ave.

“Dirty Dancing,” Monday, July 18: A summertime romance blossoms at a resort when a young woman falls for the dance instructor.
Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, Jerry Orbach and Cynthia Rhodes lead the cast.
The 1987 movie, rated PG-13, will be shown at 8:15 p.m., doors open at 7:15 p.m.
“Scream,” Wednesday, July 20: A slasher film, with a satirical edge, unfolds as a group of California teens is terrorized by the killer, Ghostface.
Lead players in the film, which spawned several sequels, include David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, Drew Barrymore and Rose McGowan.
The 1996 movie, rated R, will be screened at 8:30 p.m., doors open at 7:30 p.m.
