WESTPORT — Picture Westport.

Literally.

Take a photograph of what you think best captures the character of Westport. It could become the “face” of Westport, featured on the cover of the 2022-23 Visitors/Membership Guide to be published this fall by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber is reprising earlier photo contests for its latest guide, asking people to submit a “quintessential photo that represents our community,” according to the contest announcement.

The contest is open to residents and businesspeople from Westport and Weston, and the deadline for submission is June 19.

Entries can be submitted using email, Dropbox or Google and sent to Matthew Mandell, the chamber’s executive director, at matthew@westportwestonchamber.com, with the subject line, “Photo Contest.”

“There was a bit of a delay getting this guide going, due to the pandemic,” Mandell said in announcing the contest, “but I bet we’ll have that many more great photos submitted.

“I can’t think of a better way to promote our town than have it done through the eye of residents,” he added.
