WESTPORT- The Museum of Contemporary Art / CT transformed into a beachside celebration Saturday night as members and guests gathered for the museum’s Endless Summer fundraiser. According to a release from MoCA, the evening brought together a diverse crowd of art enthusiasts, longtime supporters, and newcomers who gathered to support the museum. The event raised more than $100,000.
The Arthur Lipner Trio‘s vibes music added a Brazilian motif to the main gallery, which was showing the “Tod Papageorge: At the Beach” exhibition, which will be up until Oct. 26.
Guests were treated to the words of MoCA/CT Chairman of the Board, William D. Felton: “The arts have always survived because people like you believe they matter. . . Your support makes it possible. So thank you for being here.” The evening’s success was highlighted by a significant gift toward the museum’s outreach to underserved communities.
