Having a decidedly upbeat feeling about Westport, generally—lately, I am of course disappointed that the weather has intervened. I remember lining up near Bedford on Riverside with the anticipation of actually marching in the parade in a kind of ritualistic manner with onlookers a-top the Remarkable Book Shop and other rooftops on Main Street as the route back then was a little different. These memories don’t fade but crystallize as the decades roll along like floats in an event ranked #1. See you next year!
