WESTPORT — “It’s a good thing.”
Taking a cue from her notable catchphrase, Martha Stewart returns June 1 to her former Turkey Hill Road home — where she planted roots for her design, culinary and media empire — to raise money for a good cause.
Stewart will be the featured guest at a fundraiser benefiting Positive Directions, the local nonprofit that provides counseling and support for people struggling with substance abuse and mental health problems.
The benefit is planned at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at 50 Turkey Hill Road.
There is a limited number of $1,000 tickets available; they can be reserved online by clicking here.
Stewart will guide attendees through the property’s gardens, followed by a gathering on the patio for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Afterward, Stewart will have dinner with guests who purchase a $2,500 ticket. As of Tuesday, April 25, morning, only one dinner ticket remained, according to Positive Directions; email info@positivedirections.org to reserve the ticket.
Those unable to attend the Martha Stewart fundraiser are encouraged by event organizers to make tax-deductible donations to support Positive Directions programs for community prevention, outpatient counseling and recovery support.
