WESTPORT — It’s still too early to tell what the damage may be, but Hurricane Henri appears to be tracking farther to the east as of 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
Connecticut may not see it hit until after 5 a.m., but predictions for landfall may put the center much farther east than had been expected.
The town is closing all parks in advance through Monday at noon at the very least.
Winds may still cause severe damage, and the impact of a very large storm surge will still likely be felt, especially during high tides at noon Sunday and shortly after midnight Monday.

The Parks and Recreation Department announced late Saturday night that due to anticipated weather conditions Longshore Golf Course, pool, tennis courts, and Compo Beach will be closed through noon on Monday, “along with all other parks.”
“We will be assessing all of our facilities Monday morning and will make further determinations about necessary extended closures,” the announcement said.
Meanwhile, many people have prepared for the worst, including businesses on the west side of Main Street, which in the past have seen major flooding during storms.

I think the high tides are around noon and midnight, not around 6a/6p as the article says.
