WESTPORT — Donations of clothing are being accepted by the Westport Woman’s Club through Oct. 10 for its annual “Clothing Tag Sale” later in the month.

The tax-deductible donations of “new or gently worn” clothes for women, men and children, as well as accessories such shoes, handbags, scarves, hats, jewelry, etc., can be dropped off weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 10, at the club’s headquarters, 44 Imperial Ave.

The sale, which benefits club charities, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 28-29 and noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 30 at the clubhouse.

Among those programs supported by funds raised from the sale are the town Department of Human Services’ food closet, nonprofits around Fairfield County and need-based student scholarships. For more information, call 203-227-4240 or email wwc@westportwomansclub.org.
