FAIRFIELD — A special event on Labor Day weekend will offer a glimpse at the lives of soldiers during the American Revolution.

The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5th and Sunday, Sept. 6th at the Fairfield Museum Commons. On each day, visitors can explore a military encampment and meet costumed reenactors between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., and see a battle reenactment from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.
Visitors can also learn more about Fairfield’s role in the Revolution. The town and other coastal communities in Connecticut were subject to devastating British raids in 1779.
The event is presented in partnership with the Town of Fairfield, Fairfield Community Services, and Experience Fairfield. For more information, visit fairfieldhistory.org.
