WESTPORT — If, to paraphrase the famous poem, you have never seen anything as lovely as a tree, then you’ll want to consider giving “A Toast to the Trees” on April 30.

As the observance of Arbor Day marks its 150th anniversary this April 29, Earthplace will host its salute to trees a day later on Saturday, April 30, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the nature center, 10 Woodside Lane.

Tickets to the event cost $25 for adults and $10 for children three years old and over. Click here to purchase tickets.

The event will include walks through the Earthplace woods, and a chance to sample sap being harvested there. And for adults who don’t fancy that sweet nectar, beer also will be available to imbibe from several craft breweries.

In the Earthplace picnic grove, visitors can enjoy Dough Girls pizza and s’mores around a campfire.

There also be a variety of activities for youngsters provided by Earthplace, the Silvermine Arts Center and One River School of Art & Design.
